Cardiology Clinics

We provide clinic service on both UiTM campus, in Sungai Buloh and Selayang. We currently accept referrals from Hospital Sungai Buloh and Hospital Selayang. We also accept patients referred on by their local Klinik Kesihatan or private local General Practitioners for management of cardiac diseases.​

We also run Research-Based clinics outside of regular clinic hours, which you will be personally informed about, if you have chosen to participate in any.

Inpatient services

​

We provide in-patient services within PPP UiTM (previously known as CTC), Sungai Buloh Campus where we have a medical ward, a 6 bedded Coronary Care Unit, 4 bedded Intensive Care Unit and  a 10 bedded Day-ward for diagnostic procedures.  



We also provide specialist consultation services to both Selayang and Sungai Buloh Hospitals around the clock.

Non-Invasive Cardiac Laboratory (NICL)

This is where we carry out diagnostic testing related to cardiac and vascular diseases. The following are services provided by our centre carried out by our experienced Medical Lab Technologist.

  • Dobutamine Stress Testing (DSE)

  • Echocardiography (TTE/ Echo)

  • Transoesophageal Echocardiography (TEE/TOE) 

  • Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM)

  • Holter Monitoring

  • Loop recorder

  • Event Monitor

  • Carotid Intima Media Thickness (CIMT)

  • Pulse Wave Velocity (PWV)

  • Ankle Brachial Index (ABI)

Cardiac Imaging



Often times it is necessary for us to take pictures of your heart and vasculature to understand the disease process better. Some of the ways we can do this includes:



  • Transthoracic & Transoesophageal Echocardiogram 

  • Dobutamine Stress Echocardiogram

  • Cardiac CT (CTCA/ MSCT (64 slice)

  • Cardiac MRI (CMR)

  • CT Angiography

Your doctor will be advising you on the best imaging modality specific to your condition. 

Invasive Cardiac Laboratory (ICL)

 

The Catheterisation Laboratory (Cath Lab) is where we perform our coronary angiograms to delineate the coronary arteries. The coronary arteries are those vessels supplying blood to your heart and are often blocked in cases of a heart attacks.



We can also perform percutaneous insertion of balloons and stents to open up blocked arteries. This may be done on the same sitting or deferred to a different day depending on many factors. 



The Catheterisation Lab is also the place where cardiac pacemakers are implanted to help the heart maintain a regular rhythm.
